Six Web cams now show anyone with Internet access that Lake Cumberland is full of water. Some Web cams are real time and offer multiple views.
“These six Web cams show that Lake Cumberland is full of water; 38,000 surface acres of water to be exact,” said Kentucky Tourism Commissioner Randy Fiveash. “Viewers can see lake conditions and the surrounding shorelines at any time of the day. These are live pictures, so these are guaranteed to give an accurate look at what visitors will see when they come to Lake Cumberland, these Web cams provide visual proof of what they will experience.”
The Web cams, Internet addresses and physical location are available at www.kentuckytourism.com. Click on the Visit Lake Cumberland icon on the left side of the screen. The following Web cam scenes are available:
“People can use these Web cams to help decide their vacation plans or television weathercasters can show them during their newscasts,” said Fiveash. “These six facilities should be congratulated for taking the initiative and installing the Web cams.”
