Kentucky Digital Government Summit Coming April 24

"These are exciting times for all of Kentucky! Our recent eighth place ranking in the prestigious Digital States Survey verifies that Kentucky is becoming a national leader in digital government. To continue building on that success, we must search for new opportunities to improve government services for our citizens by utilizing technology in an efficient and collaborative manner. By following Gov. Fletcher's Prescription for Innovation, it is our goal to stimulate innovative solutions for improving government services, including state and local, that will benefit the entire Commonwealth. I invite you to join us at the upcoming 2007 Kentucky Digital Government Summit on April 24 in Lexington to help us work on this initiative."

  - Mark Rutledge
    Commissioner of Technology,
    Commonwealth of Kentucky

"This summit is a great chance for local government to interact with state government and private industry. It is a worthwhile conference with relevant and timely sessions around the technology issues currently being faced in government. We wouldn't miss it."

    Chief Information Officer,
    Louisville Metro Government

For the seventh straight year the Commonwealth Office of Technology (COT) will partner with Government Technology magazine and industry sponsors to host the Kentucky Digital Government Summit.

This year's conference will be held at the Embassy Suites in Lexington, Kentucky on April 24.  The one-day gathering of IT leaders from across the commonwealth will provide a forum for communications and collaboration on technology solutions and business practices.  The conference provides opportunities for attendees to interact with each other and key vendors on technology solutions and strategies that will help those in the public sector increase efficiency and improve services.
