Visitors continue to navigate to, Kentucky's official Web site or portal, for information and increasing numbers of government services.  In fact,'s April 2007 visitor count was almost 52 percent higher than April 2006, only one year ago.

Some interesting facts and stats about Kentucky's official Web site:

  • The portal has more than one million pages of information and over 300 interactive services.
  • 99 percent of all information and services available on are free to the public.
  • During the 2006 calendar year, portal visits reached nearly 22 million, averaging more than 2 million visits per month. This represents a 62 percent increase in usage over 2005, during which visits totaled more than 13 million.
  • More than 38 percent of all visits to the portal occur while government offices are closed.
  • adheres to strict privacy, security and accessibility policies, which can be found in the footer of every agency website.

Answer:  During the months of March and April 2007 there were slightly over 2.4 million visitors to, setting a new all-time record each month.  To be precise, the current record is 2,430,563 visitors, established in April 2007.  Don't bother memorizing that number, however, because it's sure to be broken in the very near future as a growing number of services draws even greater numbers of visitors to the site.
