Corrections Web Site Now Features Probation & Parole Absconders
In May, the Web site for the Kentucky Department of Corrections (DOC) released a new Most Wanted Absconders section that features the photographs of offenders from each of the probation and parole districts across the state.
Once you click on a photo of an absconder, you see information on the offender including a basic description, county of conviction and charges.
“More and more people are using the Internet every day,” said Kentucky DOC Commissioner John D. Rees. “This is a way for us to disseminate the information to a wide audience about individuals for whom we have active warrants. These people have chosen not to abide by the rules of supervision and therefore must face the consequences.”
