Kentucky Board of Nursing Launches Newly-Designed Web Site
The Kentucky Board of Nursing now has a new online presence, located at http://kbn.ky.gov. The redesigned site, which was launched in April, features numerous online services and licensure-related information for nurses, hospitals and other health-related organizations. The site is also available at http://kentucky.gov, the state’s official Web portal.
“We are thrilled to offer this new site to the citizens of Kentucky,” said Sharon Weisenbeck, executive director of the Kentucky Board of Nursing. “Our new site is easy to navigate and allows citizens and nursing professionals to find the information they need quickly.”
In addition, the site provides access to a variety of online services, including licensure renewal and verification, online address change and data roster downloads. The newly-designed Web site also provides information on consumer protection, credentials and licensure information, nursing education and practice, licensure statistics reports, the Kentucky Nurse Aide Registry, and laws and regulations related to the nursing profession.
“I hope everyone will take some time to visit the KBN Web site,” said Weisenbeck. “We welcome input and suggestions and would like to continue our efforts to offer even more services online.”
The new site was built by the board in partnership with Kentucky.gov, which also built and maintains the commonwealth’s official Web site at http://kentucky.gov.
Kentucky.gov is the official Web site of the Commonwealth of Kentucky (http://Kentucky.gov). Kentucky.gov is a collaborative effort between the Commonwealth of Kentucky and Kentucky Interactive LLC. Frankfort-based Kentucky Interactive helps state agencies Web-enable their eGovernment services and is the subsidiary of eGovernment firm NIC that built, operates, markets, and maintains Kentucky.gov on behalf of the state.
